Our Model of Support

Berry Manor Boarding Home (BMBH) delivers structured, community-based supportive housing designed to stabilize vulnerable adults while preserving affordability and maximizing access to public benefits.  Our model separates housing from ancillary services to protect member eligibility, reduce systemic dependency, and maintain long-term sustainability.

🏠 Residential Stability Infrastructure

BMBH provides safe, furnished residential environments that promote dignity and structure.

Each Member receives:

  • Furnished living accommodations

  • Utilities, WiFi, and cable access

  • Home security monitoring

  • Structured residential oversight

  • Coordination with onsite or visiting therapy providers and nurse aides (through external healthcare partners)

Our housing-first approach focuses on stabilization as the foundation for long-term independence and improved health outcomes.

 

🛒 FOOD

Effective January 2026

 

To preserve housing affordability and strengthen sustainability, BMBH no longer provide routine meals.

Instead, we operate a coordinated benefits-access model that ensures Members maximize all available nutrition resources, including:

 

  • SNAP / ESAP enrollment assistance

  • Case management collaboration

  • Benefit compliance and address updates

  • Financial literacy and food budgeting guidance

This structure protects Member eligibility while reducing overhead costs that would otherwise increase housing monthly service fee rates.

 

🚗 Transportation Access Strategy

Effective January 2026

 

To maintain affordable housing rates, BMBH does not operate routine transportation services.

We coordinate access through:

​

  • Medicaid transportation programs

  • VA transportation benefits

  • Insurance-based medical transport

  • Community mobility partnerships

  • Case manager collaboration

Members who do not qualify for outside resources may apply for limited, needs-based assistance through the BMBH Lani Waiver Program, subject to approval and available funding.

BMBH is not simply providing housing.  We are building a coordinated support ecosystem that bridges healthcare, public benefits, and community resources — creating stability without inflating costs.
